Lockdown Questions

RA

Warm, hot blushing days,

In a crystal, lockdown summer haze,

Lawnmowers buzz, children scream,

Lessons replaced with soft ice-cream.

Where are we going?

What’s happening next?

answers now  lost, tinged with regret.

Did we take it for granted? Freedom, our life,

We were too busy to notice,

Foreign fear and strife.

What do we do now? How do we move on?

Confined to home feels so wrong

how many days can we stay?

Locked down- Hidden away.
